Yesterday Stephen Sands, Tod Traub and I traveled to Philadelphia for a 9:00
am Re-sentencing hearing for Eddie McCrary, the Juvenile Lifer that we have
been mentoring for several years. There were 35 relatives and friends in the
court room to support his release. The hearing went well but it appears to
be a complex process with several more hearings required before we will know
if Eddie will be released. Keep Eddie in your prayers, he has been in
prison 36 years since he was arrested at age 17. If he is released, he
wants to come to be mentored by Friends Over Fences and live in our area.
He is the finest example of a man that has changed his heart to help others
that we have seen. He will be a blessing to our ministry if he is finally
set free. -keith
